Temporary work means that you are employed on a casual basis “as required”. You have the freedom to decide when you want to work and for how long. The Temp Centre has a range of different temporary assignments on offer and they can range from just a few hours, days, weeks or month dependant on the requirements of the new assignment.
Complete an online registration form, attach an up to date CV with all relevant work experiences and referees, current Photo ID, IRD number and relevant qualification documents/certificates
Once we have your completed registration form, one of our recruitment consultants will make direct contact.
It all depends on current demand and your availability.
If you register with us and there is a position available that matches your skills, you could be considered by an employer immediately. If there are no positions currently available, it’s a matter of registering, regularly checking out our available jobs and keeping in touch with your Temp Centre consultant.
As a leading employment agency, we pay fair rates for all types of work. Before any assignment your hourly rate will be agreed and you will be trained on completing our payroll requirements. At the end of the assignment or end of the week you simply complete your timesheet, and your pay goes directly into your bank account the following week.
Clearly, experience and skill is important. However, we recruit for some roles which require no previous experience or qualifications in the field.
In some roles, the most important thing is attitude. If you are keen to do the best you possibly can, and ready to learn, you may well be the right person for the job. Especially in the industrial sector where we are able to create a lot of opportunities for people to try different kinds of work.
For candidates with the right attitude these assignments regularly lead to permanent roles.
Standard Uniforms
If your job requires specific uniform requirements, it’s best to include this in your job post to ensure that the Temp can meet your request.
Otherwise, we do request Temps come to their shift with the following standard uniforms:
Our standard uniforms for hospitality are white collar long sleeve shirts, black dress pants, and black leather shoes.
For promotions jobs, our standard uniform is black dress pants, and a black or white t-shirt.
For business admin jobs, we require smart business attire.
The New Zealand job market is an employer’s market meaning there are more job seekers than jobs available and if you are interested in living and working here our recommendation is to check the Immigration skills shortage list.
